NAIMA Hands Over Emergency Support to Transport Department and Traffic Police

The Nepal Automobile Importers and Manufacturers Association (NAIMA) has formally completed and handed over emergency assistance provided to the Department of Transport Management and the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, both of which were severely affected during the Gen-Z movement on Bhadra 23 and 24.

The handover was carried out on Tuesday by a NAIMA delegation led by President Ritu Singh Vaidya, along with Board Member Yamuna Shrestha and Executive Director Rajkumar Dulal.

Speaking at the handover program, Rajiv Pokharel, Director General of the Department of Transport Management, stated that NAIMA’s support during the emergency was extremely important. He noted that the assistance enabled the department to resume services from its own premises and expressed sincere gratitude to the association.

Similarly, Senior Superintendent of Police Navaraj Adhikari, Chief of the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, highly praised the institutional and emergency support provided by NAIMA and its member organizations.

He remarked that despite being established only recently, NAIMA has successfully built long-term cooperation and partnership with the traffic police, describing the association as a reliable partner in traffic education and management.

Addressing the program, President Vaidya said she was proud to be able to offer even modest support during a time of crisis.

She emphasized that collaboration with public service institutions is a core principle of NAIMA and reaffirmed the association’s commitment to further strengthening such cooperation in the future.

Executive Director Dulal provided details of the assistance, stating that NAIMA supported the reconstruction of all windows and doors of the main building of the Department of Transport Management in Minbhawan, as well as providing furniture, furnishings, computers, printers, and other essential equipment to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office.
